Good day! It's a cold rainy day today, so I stayed indoors and made this Hello Honey Card. This weather has me thinking about Spring and all the lovely Spring flowers. So, I decided to use Spring patterned papers by Pebbles from the Spring Fling collection/2015. The bear and bee images are from the Winston's Honeybees stamp set by Newton's Nook. All images and sentiment were stamped with Memento black ink. Copic markers were used to color the images and then they were die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. Cardstock colors include: Basic Black, Mint Macaroon, Hello Honey and Watermelon Wonder all by Stampin' Up!. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
Happy Valentine's Day! I have a quick post to share the card I made for my hubby. You won't see any pink on this Purr-fect Valentine Card. The background was created with the Tumbling Hearts Stencil by Newton's Nook and the stamp set is called Furry Kisses by Simon Says Stamp. Distress inks in Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers were used along with a Classic Stampin' Pad in Tempting Turquoise by Stampin' Up!. To color the cats I used Copic markers in Cool Gray and Black tones. To help pull in the eyes I used a piece of black diagonal striped paper and matted the focal panel to it. That's pretty much it, a simple Purr-fect Valentine Card. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.
Here is a picture of a couple of our kitties all snuggled up together. These two really love each other and had an immediate bond, it's so sweet. The smaller tortie is the kitten we rescued back in December, she is getting big.
Hello crafty friends! This is the first card I've made since I got my glasses with progressive lenses. I was very hesitant about getting them, in fact I waited three years longer than my eye doctor recommended. I have to say the adjustment was much easier than I expected. At least now I can stop manipulating my glasses to see better while I'm crafting.
This Fawned of You Card was made using the colors from the current Inky Paws Challenge to use: Pink, Green, Brown and White. The new Deer Friend stamp setby Newton's Nook was an easy choice for the challenge colors. The deer and floral images were colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. The pink and green patterned papers are from an older paper pad by American Crafts (Spring 2013) and the woodgrain is an older scrap piece from Stampin' Up!. A stitched oval die with scalloped frame by Avery Elle was used for the focal area. A small butterfly from the Newton's Day Dream was stamped and then Star Dust stickles added for sparkle and that's it.
Hello! Last week when I was searching in my craft room I found this digital image by Kenny K, it was printed and waiting to be used. So, I decided to use it on a Valentine Card. First, I selected patterned papers from the Be Mine paper pad by Recollections and then I colored the image with Copic markers to coordinate. Some clear Wink of Stella was added to the dark red border around the heart for a little sparkle. Once all the layers were assembled the focal image was adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment stamp is from a Valentine's set I bought several years back by Recollections. The finishing touch was the addition of three heart sequins and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Good day! It's been a couple of months since the team I'm part of at Simply Create Too provided inspiration for the monthly challenge. This month the theme is Favorite Colors! I was excited to put together my Favorite Colors Card using Green and Purple. It doesn't matter what shade of green and purple, I love them all. We would love for you to play along this month! When deciding what type of card I wanted to make with my favorite colors, I looked through some new supplies that hadn't been used and decided to make a floral card. All papers and stamps used on this card are by Stampin' Up! The stamps are from the Birthday Blooms stamp set, the green pattern paper is from the Fresh Florals dsp, the black is from a retired neutrals paper pad and the cardstock colors include Perfect Plum and Basic Black. Copic markers were used to color the image. I debated about adding sequins but decided it really didn't need it. Sometimes less is more! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you play along at Simply Create Too with your favorite colors.
Do you ever lose something in your craft room? I knew I had this patterned paper that I was "saving" for the right card and when I finally decide to use it, I couldn't find it. Well after a couple of searches I found it stuck in a box. The colors are perfect for one of my nieces and that's who will be receiving this Sending Love Card.
The layout for this card is from the current Inky Paws Sketch Challenge. I used the new Sending Hugs stamp set and coordinating dies by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the image. To go along with the sketch, some Basic Gray twine by Stampin' Up! was added and three pink sequins for a little sparkle. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
This past week at the Tulsa Zoo their long time resident Gunda an Asian elephant passed away at the age of 67. She lived two decades longer than the average lifespan of an Asian elephant. My hubby and I were planning a trip to the zoo, so I made this Elephant Sympathy Card to give to the Zoo Keepers and Staff.
The elephant image is by Bugaboo Digi Stamps and it's one of my favorite older images. It's been in my stash since 2012 and I already had several printed to make a set of note cards. A paisley embossing folder by Cuttlebug, another older favorite, was used along with a scalloped frame by Taylored Expressions and the Petite Petal stamp set by Stampin' Up!. The colors include: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum and Pear Pizzazz all by Stampin' Up!. That's it, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
